jake's new feats

jake said haley today. i think he's been saying it, but it was super clear today. and it was definitely 'HEY-LEEE' and he was trying to give her lammy. just makes my heart melt. he gave her a little pat on the back and said it again. they have been playing really nicely together. i think they liked sharing a room in omaha. they cuddled last night and wanted to stay in the same room. cried when i tried to separate them.

today jake has really been able to get both feet off the ground about an inch. he's been practicing jumping. it is so fun to watch. i feel like haley was just learning how to jump. haley is very patient and teaches him over and over how to do it right. he even tried to put on her shoes to see if that would help, but discovered that it wasn't the shoes. he kicked them off in disgust and put his back on and tried again...it is amazing to watch how their minds work. jake really tries to figure out how things work.

jake is learning a few words a day and is getting to know more signs all the time from haley. he signed cracker, drink and play the other day and haley's version of diaper to let me know he was wet. (the michael jackson grab)
