chatterbox

jake is just chatting up a storm. and if he's not chatting up a storm he is signing up a storm. he frantically signs 'baby signing time' every morning because he wants to watch one of the videos. today's new sign was 'crying' he has been signing 'cracker' 'nice' 'sorry' lots. he loves to say 'ow' 'uh-oh' 'mine' 'pweease' 'haley' 'teddy' 'mom' 'dad' 'cracker' 'up' 'help' (which sounds a lot like up)

he is starting to get a little off the ground with both feet while jumping. he has been really practicing and if you say jump he will. he is very good at following directions and he knows exactly what you are asking him. for awhile now you say it's time to brush teeth and he'll run to the bathroom. same with washing hands. if you say let's go change diapers or do you have a wet diaper - he'll run to his room. you can ask him to take his shows off and put them by the door. or put his shoes on. he'll put them on, but not always on the right feet. he is very helpful around the house and very sweet to haley most of the time. jake loves using the wipes and napkins throughout the meal. he also likes using our forks. oh he also can already open doors and drawers (and reach in). he loves slamming doors.

watching his reaction to our reactions has been interesting and watching him take everything in. jake really learns so much every day. this is such a fun age.

he is very into buckling everything. car seat, booster seat, stroller and even the carts at the stores.
