jake has discovered walking backwards and thinks it's hilarious. he also LOVES matzo like his mommy. haley dislikes matzo like her daddy. jake also loves spinning.
they both will swing forever if i let them, but mommy's arms get tired. we've been enjoying walks to the park and playing outside.
we tried some more eggless recipes this year for passover and were more successful than last year. we used silken tofu for the matzo balls instead of the egg replacer we did last year and they were actually fluffy and pretty good. tofu is something we have to get used to since we don't eat it normally, but they really looked like matzo balls at least and smelled like them after they were cooked that is...tofu is kind of stinky. and we also tried a noodle kugel with eggless noodles and firm tofu and it turned out yummy, but anything with brown sugar and vanilla i think is yummy :) the nutless charoset was also pretty tasty, but super sweet without walnuts. i cooked as if we had tons of guests coming so we have lots of left overs. yum. and we have about 3 containers (9x12) of the toffee crunch matzo. yum. the enjoy life (special allergy free) chocolate chips are really yummy melted on the matzo.
haley has an amazing imagination. this morning she took two of her kix and put them up to her ears and made earrings. she also was an octopus this morning. it's fun to hear all that she comes up with.
jake is discovering words. he says thank you and welcome now, but not always the right times, but we can't complain because it is just too cute.
he loves picking up everything outside and walking around.
they've been playing really well together.
