I deleted my fb post about the soy sauce packets. The responses were interesting. My first reaction was just who would hand out soy sauce to kids. Not that anyone singled my kids out or that it was a racist thing or a joke because we were dressed up as sushi. But then finding out no one else got the packets I realized that I see the best in people. This has been a pattern this year after trump has been elected. I see the best or hope for the best. This is a trait that is good and bad and that I want to pass onto our kids. I don't want them to assume the worst but I don't want them to be naive or taken advantage of. I hope it wasn't racist.
