Omaha visit

Wednesday

Wednesday morning we packed up and left for Omaha. Kids woke up early super excited. We got stuck in traffic bc of a big accident but made great time with only a few stops. Had our usual lunch at mcds in Iowa city. We looked for windmills. Looked for cows. Played eye spy and only watched one movie. They did great.

We got to Omaha for some pizza and to celebrate the first night. Mimi and papa got them some gifts for the first night. A lego boat and a dump truck. Eliz and Steve and Steve's daughters came from Duluth too. Eliz and Steve and lauren moved from Duluth two months ago.

Thurs was thanksgiving

The kids played in the morning with Mimi. Then napped and went for a nice walk while mommy and Mimi cooked. We had a yummy thanksgiving and second night of Hanukkah. Jake likes the filling of pumpkin pie. Haley tried cranberries. Haley liked them.

Friday kids went ice skating with Steve aunt e and Abby and lauren. They had a great time. They both did an amazing job. Super fun. Then they napped and then saw frozen. Great Disney movie with amazing soundtrack. Beautiful movie. Kids got to go out to eat for some yummy Mexican food. Then more presents.

Sat was last day and fourth night of Hanukkah. Kids broke the wish bone. Haley got bigger half and Haley wished for no Iowa so she could be closer to Mimi and papa. Very sweet. Sat we got to see the beautiful new temple. Helped pick out a gift for Mimi and came home to
Take a nap. Then later
They walked to a park and jake got
To watch a wood chipper help cut a big tree in our neighbors yard.

We had latkes and brisket. Yum. Jake and Haley had special latkes made from
Mashed potatoes.

Oh yea thurs jake washed peeled and placed in pot all the potatoes and made bed twice

What a helper and what great kids

He bawled when we left
Poor guy. Good visit.
