daredevil

jake has no fear. he climbs on everything. up and down and is very independent. it took haley awhile to climb up on stuff at the park, but jake just follows her up the climbing wall or rocks or stairs or even up the slide...he is super strong and he gets so proud of himself when he accomplishes his climbs :) it's fun to watch. yesterday he fell and didn't cry until i tried to ice his big bump on his head.

haley and jake have been playing a lot. they love chasing each other around the house and yard. and throwing a beach ball around. they also love emptying all their toy bins and giggling as things go crashing every where. they are also very good about cleaning up. i think jake is going to be neat like his daddy and like things in their places. haley is more like me and doesn't really care.

it seems haley is going to be more creative/imaginative and jake likes figuring how things work...so like mother/daughter and father/son. interesting. but they are still both a good mix. it's fun to watch jake twist off every lid he can find, take apart everything he can and put pieces together. haley has her imaginary friends and can color all day. but then jake will take a stuffed animal and give it hugs and kisses. give his sister lammy when she's crying and kisses. haley likes crashing into things and falling down. she loves playing drums and has to pick up every stick outside. but loves to play princess.

this morning jake said bye bye dada. it just melts my heart when he talks. you tell him to do something and he listens most of the time. at least i know he understands. if you want him to put something away or sit down, etc. he is learning his body parts. he loves singing and dancing like haley. i still love the uh-ohs. and the little sound effects he makes when he gives kisses (muwah).

they both love swinging and when we go to the park i end up having to push them both for at least an hour. and they both cry and scream when i have to take them out. yesterday we had a nice little picnic. haley and graham created a puddle from the drinking fountain to splash in and play in. she's had a bath and i've washed her feet a few times and i think there is still some mud. i think that will be the theme of the summer...mud and sand and sunscreen :)

savta and saba are in town this weekend and we are looking forward to a fun visit.
